Eliokem
Eliokem was founded in 2001, as a result of Littlejohn's acquisition of the specialty chemicals business of The Goodyear Tire & Rubber Company. Headquartered near Paris, France, Eliokem serves customers in more than 90 countries through three manufacturing sites, the third of which was built on a greenfield site in Ningbo, China in 2004. Eliokem owns a large portfolio of polymers and chemicals which are used in a broad range of applications and industries including paints and coatings, electrographic toners, oil field systems, as well as plastic, rubber, adhesive and latex compounds.
The company was a classic "corporate orphan", lacking sufficient investment and focus. Over the course of Littlejohn's ownership, management established a stand- alone infrastructure, upgraded systems, rationalized product lines and re-energized growth, resulting in modest revenue growth with EBITDA increasing by more than 20%. Eliokem was acquired by AXA Private Equity (France) in 2006. |
